NOS Grape offers an eye catching can with colors similar to Rockstar Guava. This high performance energy drink delivers that trademark artificial grape smell… snow cones, gum, suckers, candy or kool-aid. If there was dictionary with smells, this is what would be listed for grape.
Now that we are done sniffing that artificial grape aroma let take a swig of this drink…..WOW, artificial grape flavor to match that aroma! If I blindfolded you and had you sample this you would think it was grape soda. There is no energy taste at all, just lots or robust artificial grape flavor. I happen to like grape soda so this drink taste good to me, but I don’t wanna pay $2 to drink pop.
NOS grape offers the usual suspects: 2000mg taurine, 400mg L-carnitine, 250mg caffeine, 200mg inositol, 100mg panax ginseng and B vitamins.
If you like expensive grape pop/soda… I got the perfect drink for you!

Today we had the chance to sample some Guru Energy! Guru comes in your standard 250 mL bullet can, has an interesting red/silver theme with block lettering. Guru claims to be 100% natural and certified organic.
Guru has a deep gold color, mild carbonation and a very unique flavor that I find hard to describe… maybe a grapefruit mixed with ginger ale? The taste is somewhat tart and sour and it hits you on the roof of your mouth a little bit. Guru defiantly has a dry aftertaste once the tingle on your tongue disappears. I picked up the can to look at it about an hour later, took a sniff and it smell just like cotton candy inside that can!!
Guru contains sparkling water, organic white grape + cane juice, guarana, caffeine, SALT, ginseng root, ginkgo biloba and echinacea. This is the first drink I have seen that comes with echinacea.
Overall it’s not a bad drink, i would have this again. I paid $2.25 at Whole Foods for this and though that was a bit steep. I would drink this more often if I could find it for a buck.

Happy October 1st
Rockstar Pom is part of the Juiced collection of drink, I think it’s better than the original “juiced” which was the orange flavor. Pom contains 50% juice, has a nice deep burgundy red color, mild carbonation that tingles your tongue just right and a slight sweet aroma that greets you when you open the can up!
RSP has a nice sweet but dry taste that includes just the right amount of carbonation to fully enjoy this beverage. There is no real aftertaste that I can taste, this finishes clean and smooth. The pomegranate flavor may be to strong or tart for a whole 16oz can, I would love to see this drink in the standard 8.3oz bullet can (and sell it for $1). After 16 oz of this drink your tongue is shot and things don’t taste right for a while. I suggest splitting this can with someone at breakfast time
The goods: 16 oz can - 160mg caffeine, 2000mg taurine, 50mg inositol, 50mg guarana, 300mg ginko biloboa, 50mg ginseng, 40mg milk thistle and B vitamins.

Stumble it!

Velocity Energy Tea is brewed from black tea leaves using filtered water (no high fructose corn syrup here) and some natural flavors. VT has a deep gold color, non carbonated and mild fruit aroma that offers plenty of antioxidants!
I really enjoyed the Velocity Tea, it has a solid brewed tea flavor with a fruity overtone. The first sip may seem kinda strange but after that you really start to enjoy this fine beverage! Velocity gives you a nice little energy boost without the shakes!
VT contains a whole list of goodies: caffeine, guarana, taurine (2000mg), panax ginseng, inositol, ginkgo bilboba, grape seed, bee pollen, B vitamins, milk thistle and gotu kola.
Purchased 16 oz can at big lots for $.60 but this drink is worth $2/can!

Freek Skitzo (Evil Energy) is a fine tasting beverage! I wish I had 2 more hands so I could give this drink 4 thumbs up!
Skitzo comes in your standard 16 oz can, has a purple pull tab and I found it for $.60/can at Big Lots. Once I tasted Freek I went back to Big Lots and bought a case it was so good! The first time I sampled this beverage was when my buddy Jeff brought me one back from Detroit (old can). I could never find Freek anywhere I looked and I wasn’t driving to Detroit to buy more either…. but then about a year later Big Lots has a new can design and a skid loaded with multiple cases! It was time to get my Freek on; at $.60 a can everyone can afford to get Freeky!
List of goodies: 16 oz, Caffeine (170mg), taurine (2032mg), inositol (200mg), B vitamins and ginseng
Skitzo is purple in color, average-moderate carbonation that adds a nice tingle to your tongue, tangy bouquet that grabs your attention and a nice grape flavor that packs the proper amount of tart and sweetness!
If you have to pay $2 to get your Freek on, it’s worth it!
